Terms of service

AskReno (askreno.sg) is run by one Singapore homeowner. By using the site, the AskReno Pass, or AskReno in an AI app such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, you agree to these terms.

What AskReno is

• An AI that answers questions from my own notes about renovating my HDB resale maisonette in 2025 and 2026.
• It shares one homeowner's experience. It is not professional, legal or financial advice, and I am not a contractor or interior designer.
• Answers are written by AI and can be wrong or out of date. Prices and rules change. Check anything important yourself, and confirm rules and permits with HDB, BCA or URA before you act.
• Contractors, shops and products I mention are ones I used. I am not paid by them and don't guarantee their work. Any deal you make with them is between you and them.

Free use and limits

Free visitors can ask a limited number of questions a day. I may change the limits, or pause the service, at any time.

AskReno Pass

• The pass is a one-time payment that gives more questions a day, and the pass-holder notes, for the period shown when you buy it.
• Your access code is for your own use. Please don't share or resell it. Codes that are shared or abused may be turned off.
• If something went wrong with your payment or your pass, email hello@askreno.sg and I'll sort it out. This doesn't affect any rights you have under Singapore law.

Fair use

Please don't:

• scrape, copy or republish my notes or answers in bulk, or use them to build a competing service;
• try to get around the daily limits, the pass check or the site's security;
• use AskReno to harass anyone or for anything unlawful.

Using AskReno in AI apps

When you connect AskReno to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another AI app, these terms apply to AskReno's answers, and that app's own terms apply to the app. The AI app may summarise or reword AskReno's answers, and I'm not responsible for what it adds.

Content

My notes, answers, photos and the AskReno name and logo belong to me. You may share a short quote from an answer with a link to askreno.sg.

Liability

AskReno is provided as it is, without any guarantee. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss from relying on an answer, including renovation costs, delays or disputes with contractors. If I am found liable, my total liability is limited to what you paid for your pass.

Privacy

How your data is handled is explained in the privacy policy.

Changes and law

If these terms change, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
